Consultant - Neurology

The Consultant – Neurology will be responsible for diagnosing and managing a wide range of neurological diseases, performing specialized neurological evaluations, and coordinating multidisciplinary care. This requires strong clinical expertise, decision-making ability, and a patient-focused approach to neurological healthcare.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage neurological disorders including stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, neuropathies, migraines, and neurodegenerative diseases.
• Conduct detailed neurological examinations and patient evaluations.
• Interpret diagnostic tests including EEG, EMG, nerve conduction studies, MRI, and CT scans.
• Manage acute neurological emergencies such as stroke, status epilepticus, and acute neurological deterioration.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based neurology practices.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient consultation services for neurological cases.
• Coordinate and manage stroke care pathways and neurocritical care patients.
• Perform and interpret specialized neurological investigations as required.
• Collaborate with neurosurgeons, intensivists, radiologists, and other specialists for comprehensive care.
• Supervise neurological inpatient care and ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
• Conduct OPD clinics and follow-up evaluations for chronic neurological conditions.
• Provide counseling and education to patients and families regarding disease management and prognosis.
• Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation and patient records.
• Participate in ward rounds, multidisciplinary meetings, and case discussions.
