Biomedical Engineer

The Biomedical Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of medical devices and equipment. This ensures safe and effective operation of clinical instruments, provides technical support and training to medical staff, and contributes to research and development of innovative healthcare solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design and develop medical devices, instruments, and software to enhance diagnostics, treatment, and patient monitoring.
• Install, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on complex clinical equipment.
• Ensure all equipment complies with safety regulations and operational standards.
• Provide training and support to doctors, nurses, and clinicians on proper use of medical technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions of biomedical devices in clinical settings.
• Collaborate with scientists and research teams to develop new healthcare products such as prostheses, artificial organs, and imaging systems.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, standard operating procedures, and regulatory documentation.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and equipment performance for auditing and compliance purposes.
• Assist in evaluating and selecting new medical equipment for hospital adoption.

Over the past 18 years, it has grown to a network with 2,135 beds as of September 2024, with plans to expand to 2,935 beds by 2029 through new hospitals in Gurugram (300 beds) and Ludhiana (up to 500 beds).
