Cath Lab Technician

The Cath Lab Technician will assist in cardiac procedures such as angiography and angioplasty, operate and maintain Cath Lab equipment, and monitor patient condition during procedures. The involves ensuring adherence to infection control and radiation safety protocols while maintaining accurate documentation and inventory.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist cardiologists during angiography, angioplasty, and other interventional cardiac procedures.
• Prepare the Cath Lab before procedures, ensuring all equipment and instruments are ready.
• Operate and maintain Cath Lab machines and monitoring systems.
• Monitor patient vitals and condition throughout the procedure and report any abnormalities.
• Ensure strict adherence to sterilization and infection control protocols.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines to protect patients and staff.
• Assist in patient preparation, positioning, and post-procedure care.
• Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient data, and reports.
• Manage inventory of Cath Lab supplies and ensure availability of consumables.
• Coordinate with cardiologists, nurses, and support staff for smooth workflow.
• Handle biomedical waste disposal as per regulatory guidelines.
• entify and report equipment malfunctions or technical issues promptly.
• Support quality standards and compliance with hospital protocols and accreditation requirements.
