Job Description
The Echo TMT Technician will handle non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures, assist in evaluating cardiovascular health, and ensure proper functioning of diagnostic equipment. This requires technical expertise, precision, and the ability to work closely with cardiology teams.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform echocardiography (2D Echo, Doppler studies) as per physician instructions.
- Conduct Treadmill Tests (TMT) to assess cardiac stress and patient endurance.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort.
- Attach electrodes and monitoring equipment accurately for testing.
- Monitor patient vitals during procedures and report abnormalities immediately.
- Assist cardiologists in interpreting diagnostic findings when required.
- Maintain and calibrate cardiac diagnostic equipment regularly.
- Ensure proper documentation and recording of test results and reports.
- Follow strict infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Handle emergency situations during testing and provide immediate assistance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the diagnostic area.
- Ensure proper maintenance and storage of equipment and accessories.
- Coordinate with OPD and inpatient departments for scheduling tests.
- Verify patient history and ensure proper pre-test preparation.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.
- Participate in quality checks and ensure adherence to clinical standards.
- Assist in audits and ensure documentation compliance.
- Stay updated with advancements in cardiac diagnostic technologies.
- Work in rotational shifts including weekends if required.
- Communicate effectively with patients to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.
- Collaborate with cardiology team for efficient workflow.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of test results.
- Support overall cardiac care services and patient outcomes.
