ICU Staff Nurse

Kiran Multi Super Speciality Hospital & Research Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ICU Staff Nurse to provide advanced critical care nursing services to patients in the Intensive Care Unit. The involves continuous patient monitoring, assisting in life-saving procedures, and ensuring adherence to ICU protocols, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Continuously monitor vital signs and patient condition using ICU monitoring systems.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Assist doctors during emergency procedures such as intubation, central line insertion, and CPR.
• Operate and manage ICU equipment including ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and patient records.
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control practices and ICU protocols.
• Provide pre- and post-procedure care for critically ill patients.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and code blue situations.
• Coordinate with doctors, intensivists, and multidisciplinary teams for patient management.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and continuous observation at all times.
• Educate and support patient families regarding ICU care and patient condition updates.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of ICU beds and equipment.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of biomedical waste as per guidelines.
• Follow hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in stock management of ICU medicines and consumables.
• Participate in training programs and continuous professional development.
• Maintain compliance with documentation, audit, and quality standards.
