Job Description
The HVAC Engineer / SAP Plant Maintenance Officer will be responsible for maintaining HVAC systems, plant utilities, preventive maintenance schedules, and SAP-based maintenance documentation in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This requires technical knowledge of HVAC operations, equipment maintenance, GMP compliance, SAP PM module usage, and engineering coordination. The candidate will ensure reliable utility performance, timely maintenance execution, accurate records, and uninterrupted plant operations.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain HVAC systems, AHUs, chillers, ducting, filters, and related plant utilities.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance activities as per approved schedules and SOPs.
- Record maintenance activities, equipment history, breakdown details, and work orders in SAP.
- Coordinate with production, QA, QC, warehouse, and engineering teams for maintenance support.
- Ensure HVAC parameters such as temperature, humidity, pressure differential, and airflow are maintained.
- Support troubleshooting of HVAC breakdowns, utility failures, and equipment performance issues.
- Maintain engineering logbooks, calibration coordination records, checklists, and service reports.
- Ensure engineering activities comply with GMP, safety, SOPs, and pharmaceutical regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for AMC, repairs, and technical support.
- Track spare parts requirements and support procurement planning for critical engineering materials.
- Support qualification, validation, and requalification activities related to HVAC and utilities.
- Monitor energy usage and suggest improvements for utility efficiency and cost control.
- Report repeated failures, deviations, and maintenance risks to senior management.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper housekeeping in utility and engineering areas.
- Ensure timely closure of SAP notifications, work orders, and maintenance documentation.
