Post Graduate Trainee

The Post Graduate Trainee – R&D Synthesis will support research activities related to chemical synthesis, process development, and laboratory experimentation. This entry-level is ideal for fresh M.Sc. Chemistry graduates seeking practical exposure in research and development. The trainee will assist senior scientists in conducting experiments, maintaining records, analyzing results, and learning industry-standard laboratory practices within a professional R&D environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist senior scientists in performing chemical synthesis experiments as per project guidelines.
• Prepare reagents, solvents, and laboratory materials required for assigned experiments.
• Observe and record reaction conditions, process parameters, and experimental outcomes.
• Support purification, isolation, and characterization of synthesized compounds.
• Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and experimental documentation.
• Follow standard operating procedures for laboratory safety and chemical handling.
• Learn basic process development techniques under senior team supervision.
• Coordinate with analytical teams for sample submission and result tracking.
• Support literature searches related to chemical reactions, methods, and processes.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in the laboratory.
• Handle laboratory glassware, equipment, and instruments responsibly.
• Report abnormalities, safety concerns, or experimental deviations to supervisors.
• Participate in training sessions related to GLP, SOPs, and research documentation.
• Assist in preparing basic technical summaries and project progress notes.
• Develop practical understanding of industrial R&D synthesis workflows.
