Sr. Analyst

The Sr. Analyst will be responsible for performing advanced analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability samples. The involves method validation, instrument handling, data review, and ensuring adherence to cGMP, GLP, and regulatory requirements. The candidate will also support audits, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives within the QC department.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform analysis of raw materials, packing materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability samples as per approved specifications and SOPs.
• Operate and maintain analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, FTIR, Dissolution apparatus, and other laboratory equipment.
• Conduct method validation, method verification, and method transfer activities as per regulatory guidelines.
• Review and verify analytical data, calculations, and reports to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with ALCOA+ principles.
• Prepare and maintain analytical reports, certificates of analysis (COA), and other laboratory documentation.
• Perform calibration and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) of analytical instruments and ensure timely maintenance.
• Handle Out of Specification (OOS), Out of Trend (OOT), and deviation investigations and support root cause analysis (RCA) and CAPA implementation.
• Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and cGMP requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation including logbooks, registers, worksheets, and instrument usage records.
• Monitor laboratory environmental conditions and ensure adherence to specified limits.
• Coordinate with QA for batch release, documentation review, and compliance activities.
• Support stability studies including sample analysis, data recording, and reporting as per stability protocols.
• Ensure proper management of chemicals, reagents, standards, and reference materials including storage and inventory control.
• Train and guide junior analysts and trainees on analytical techniques, SOPs, and laboratory practices.
• Participate in internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and provide necessary documentation and justifications.
• Ensure proper disposal of laboratory waste and chemicals as per EHS guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Production, QA, and R&D for investigation and process improvement activities.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, and discipline in the laboratory.
• entify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvement, and cost reduction in QC operations.
• Ensure timely completion of analysis to support production schedules and batch release timelines.
• Stay updated with regulatory guidelines, pharmacopeial requirements, and latest analytical techniques.
