Anaesthetist

The Full Time Anaesthetist will provide anaesthesia care, pre-anaesthetic evaluation, intraoperative monitoring, pain management support, emergency airway management, post-anaesthesia care, and coordination with surgeons and OT teams at EPIC Multispeciality Hospital, Ahmedabad. This requires MD or DNB Anaesthesia qualification with 2–3 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-anaesthetic check-up and assess patient fitness before surgery or procedure.
• Plan suitable anaesthesia technique based on patient condition, surgery type, and clinical requirement.
• Administer general, regional, spinal, epidural, local, or sedation-based anaesthesia as required.
• Monitor patient vitals, airway, oxygenation, ventilation, hemodynamics, and anaesthesia depth during procedures.
• Coordinate with surgeons, OT nurses, ICU team, emergency team, and recovery room staff.
• Manage airway, intubation, resuscitation, emergency anaesthesia, and critical care support when needed.
• Ensure availability and readiness of anaesthesia machines, drugs, gases, monitors, and emergency equipment.
• Provide post-anaesthesia monitoring guidance and pain management support.
• Maintain anaesthesia records, consent documentation, PAC notes, and procedure-related clinical records.
• Follow infection control, patient safety, OT protocols, and emergency preparedness standards.
• Support ICU, emergency, and procedure room anaesthesia care when required.
• Deliver safe, ethical, and patient-centered anaesthesia services.
