CathLab Technician

Matis Hospital is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cath Lab Technician to assist cardiologists in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating cath lab equipment, ensuring patient safety, and supporting the clinical team during procedures.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the catheterization laboratory, ensuring all equipment and instruments are ready for procedures
• Assist cardiologists during procedures such as angiography, angioplasty, and other cardiac interventions
• Operate imaging and monitoring equipment to capture accurate diagnostic data
• Monitor patient vital signs before, during, and after procedures
• Ensure adherence to radiation safety, infection control, and sterilization protocols
• Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning and explaining basic instructions
• Maintain and manage cath lab equipment, reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs
• Keep accurate records of procedures, patient data, and equipment usage
• Respond effectively to emergencies and assist in life-saving interventions when required
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff for smooth workflow in the cath lab
• Maintain inventory of consumables and ensure availability of necessary supplies
