Maintenance Head

The Maintenance Head will manage hospital facility maintenance, preventive maintenance, engineering support, repair coordination, utility management, safety compliance, and maintenance team supervision at SAL Hospital, Ahmedabad. This requires Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or Facility Management with 1–2 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance activities across hospital departments, patient areas, utility areas, and administrative zones.
• Monitor electrical, plumbing, civil, HVAC, mechanical, and facility-related maintenance work.
• Plan preventive maintenance schedules for hospital infrastructure, equipment, utilities, and building systems.
• Coordinate with electricians, AC technicians, plumbers, biomedical team, housekeeping, security, and administration.
• Attend breakdown complaints and ensure timely repair without disturbing patient care services.
• Maintain maintenance logs, complaint records, service reports, material usage records, and vendor follow-up reports.
• Inspect hospital areas regularly to identify repair needs, safety risks, leakage, electrical issues, or facility gaps.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repair work, AMC services, civil work, and technical support.
• Ensure availability of required tools, spare parts, maintenance materials, and emergency support items.
• Follow hospital safety rules, fire safety practices, infection control standards, and facility maintenance SOPs.
• Report major breakdowns, repeated complaints, or infrastructure concerns to management promptly.
• Ensure safe, functional, clean, and patient-friendly hospital infrastructure.
