The Pharmacy Assistant will support pharmacy operations, medicine dispensing assistance, stock management, delivery checking, inventory maintenance, pharmacy records, safety compliance, and team coordination at Avron Hospital. This requires Diploma in Pharmacy Assistant qualification with 0–2 years of experience in pharmacy support, inventory, medicine handling, documentation, and clean workflow.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the Pharmacist in medicine dispensing, prescription handling, and pharmacy counter workflow.
- Support medicine picking, packing, labeling, and handover under pharmacist supervision.
- Check medicine delivery, quantity, batch number, expiry date, and storage condition during stock receipt.
- Maintain pharmacy stock arrangement, shelf organization, medicine labeling, and inventory support.
- Update pharmacy records, stock registers, issue details, return entries, and basic documentation.
- Monitor low stock, expired medicines, damaged items, and near-expiry medicines and report to the pharmacist.
- Support inventory counting, stock verification, and pharmacy audit preparation.
- Coordinate with pharmacy staff, billing team, stores, nursing staff, and purchase department when required.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organized workflow inside the pharmacy area.
- Follow medicine handling rules, safety compliance, and pharmacy department instructions.
- Assist in maintaining temperature-sensitive medicines and emergency stock as per guidance.
- Help patients and attendants with basic counter support while directing medical queries to the pharmacist.
- Avoid independent dispensing decisions and work under authorized pharmacist supervision.
- Support timely medicine availability for patients, wards, and hospital departments.
- Ensure disciplined, accurate, and team-focused pharmacy support service.
