Staff Nurse is responsible for delivering professional nursing care to patients across hospital departments, including ward, critical care, and general nursing areas. The requires GNM or B.Sc Nursing qualification with 1 to 5 years of experience. Candidates should have knowledge of staff nursing, patient care, critical care support, healthcare services, GNM practices, and Microsoft Dynamics Navision documentation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide quality nursing care to admitted and outpatient patients.
- Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, condition, and treatment response.
- Administer medicines, injections, IV fluids, and prescribed treatments safely.
- Assist doctors during rounds, procedures, examinations, and emergency care.
- Maintain nursing notes, medication charts, patient files, and care documentation.
- Support critical care and emergency nursing activities when required.
- Prepare patients for investigations, procedures, transfers, and discharge.
- Follow infection control, hygiene, and patient safety protocols.
- Educate patients and family members about care instructions and medication.
- Coordinate with doctors, technicians, pharmacy, lab, and support teams.
- Report patient condition changes to doctors or senior nurses promptly.
- Maintain ward supplies, emergency equipment, and nursing station readiness.
- Ensure proper shift handover with complete patient updates.
- Use Microsoft Dynamics Navision or hospital software for documentation when required.
- Deliver compassionate, ethical, and patient-focused nursing care.
