Ward Nurse is responsible for providing quality nursing care to admitted patients, supporting doctors during rounds, maintaining patient files, and ensuring smooth ward operations. The requires GNM or B.Sc Nursing qualification with 1 to 10 years of experience. Candidates should have strong knowledge of ward nursing, patient care, infection control, documentation, MRD reports, and hospital nursing workflow.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to patients admitted in hospital wards.
- Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, condition, and treatment response.
- Administer medicines, injections, IV fluids, and prescribed treatments safely.
- Assist doctors during ward rounds, examinations, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate nursing notes, patient files, medication charts, and care records.
- Support patient admission, transfer, discharge, and handover processes.
- Follow infection control, hygiene, and patient safety protocols.
- Coordinate with doctors, technicians, pharmacy, lab, and MRD teams.
- Prepare patients for investigations, procedures, and discharge planning.
- Educate patients and family members about care instructions and medication.
- Report patient condition changes to doctors or seniors immediately.
- Maintain ward supplies, equipment, and nursing station readiness.
- Support MRD report preparation and patient file management.
- Use hospital software or Microsoft Dynamics Navision for documentation when required.
- Deliver compassionate, disciplined, and patient-focused nursing service.
