Technician

Bodyline Hospitals is seeking a skilled and proactive OT Technician to support surgical teams by preparing, maintaining, and managing operating theatre equipment and instruments. The ideal candidate will ensure that all OT operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with safety and hygiene protocols.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating theatre before surgical procedures by setting up instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies
• Ensure all surgical instruments and devices are properly sterilized and ready for use
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during operations by providing necessary instruments and equipment
• Monitor and maintain OT equipment, ensuring proper functioning and reporting any malfunctions
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the OT environment according to infection control protocols
• Handle and store surgical instruments, consumables, and medical devices safely
• Keep accurate records of instruments, equipment usage, and OT consumables
• Support post-operative cleaning, sterilization, and preparation for the next procedure
• Coordinate with OT staff, nurses, and surgeons to ensure efficient workflow
• Participate in regular OT audits and adhere to hospital safety and compliance standards
