Job Description
The Production Chemist will be responsible for executing and monitoring pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, ensuring adherence to production schedules, maintaining batch documentation, and supporting efficient plant operations. The involves coordinating with QA, QC, warehouse, and maintenance teams while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. The candidate should possess strong technical knowledge, operational skills, and attention to detail.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Execute and monitor daily production activities as per approved manufacturing schedules.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Operate and supervise manufacturing processes for pharmaceutical products.
- Maintain accurate batch manufacturing records and production documentation.
- Monitor process parameters and ensure consistent product quality during manufacturing.
- Coordinate with QA, QC, warehouse, and maintenance teams for smooth production operations.
- Ensure proper line clearance and readiness of production areas before starting operations.
- Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance requirements promptly.
- Troubleshoot production-related issues and support corrective and preventive actions.
- Minimize downtime, process deviations, and material wastage through effective monitoring.
- Ensure cleaning and maintenance of equipment and production areas as per SOPs.
- Support process validation, qualification, and technology transfer activities.
- Ensure proper handling and utilization of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
- Maintain workplace safety, hygiene, and environmental compliance within production areas.
- Train and guide operators and junior staff on SOPs and manufacturing practices.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and compliance-related activities.
- Prepare production reports, shift summaries, and operational MIS documentation.
- Ensure timely achievement of production targets without compromising quality standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for productivity and operational efficiency.
- Stay updated with pharmaceutical manufacturing practices, technologies, and industry standards.
