Discharge Summary Executive

The Discharge Summary Executive will be responsible for preparing, verifying, and processing discharge summaries in compliance with hospital protocols. This requires strong attention to detail, medical terminology understanding, and coordination skills to ensure error-free and timely documentation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and compile patient discharge summaries accurately and promptly.
• Coordinate with doctors and clinical teams to obtain required clinical information.
• Ensure all discharge documents are complete, accurate, and properly formatted.
• Review medical records, investigation reports, and treatment details for summary preparation.
• Ensure discharge summaries are completed within defined turnaround time.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of patient medical information.
• Coordinate with billing and front desk teams for smooth discharge processing.
• Update patient data and records in Hospital Information System (HIS).
• Ensure compliance with documentation standards, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.
• Verify prescriptions, medications, and follow-up instructions in discharge summaries.
• Handle patient queries related to discharge documentation when required.
• Maintain proper records and filing of discharge documents.
• Ensure accuracy in medical terminology and clinical details.
• Support audit requirements by maintaining proper documentation and records.
• Coordinate with insurance/TPA teams for required discharge documentation.
• Ensure timely communication with departments to avoid discharge delays.
• Identify discrepancies in records and resolve them promptly.
• Maintain discipline, professionalism, and a patient-centric approach.
• Assist in improving discharge processes and reducing turnaround time.
• Work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple discharges simultaneously.
