Job Description
The Accountant (Trainee) will assist in day-to-day accounting functions, documentation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. This provides exposure to ERP systems, statutory compliance, audits, and financial data management.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process sales invoices accurately in the ERP system.
- Handle bank payments and cash transactions after proper verification.
- Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and supporting documents.
- Assist in stock audits at plant locations and prepare stock statements for bank submissions.
- Support preparation and filing of financial documents after review by senior management/CFO.
- Coordinate with the logistics team for import of raw materials and related documentation.
- Manage documentation related to export transactions and compliance.
- Coordinate with plant teams for export/import documentation and processes.
- Verify and analyze monthly marketing expenses and supporting documents.
- Assist in GST-related activities including audit preparation, filings, and handling notices.
- Support compliance for EPF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Participate in preparing data and documentation for audits and regulatory assessments.
- Assist in handling notices and queries from regulatory authorities.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing systems for audit readiness.
- Work on ERP systems for accounting entries and financial tracking.
- Coordinate with internal departments for financial data collection and reconciliation.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist in preparing MIS reports and financial summaries.
- Follow company policies, accounting standards, and compliance guidelines.
- Take up special assignments and ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling financial information.
- Demonstrate willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Contribute to improving financial processes and operational efficiency.
