NICU Staff Nurse Job in Hyderabad at Ankura Hospital For Women And Children

Job Description

The NICU Staff Nurse will provide neonatal nursing care, newborn monitoring, critical care support, medication administration, feeding support, infection control, and NICU documentation at Ankura Hospital, Hyderabad. This requires GNM or B.Sc Nursing with Registration Certificate and 1–2 years of experience in NICU, neonatal care, nursing, patient monitoring, and critical care.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide bedside nursing care to newborns and critically ill neonates in NICU.
  • Monitor newborn vitals, oxygen saturation, temperature, feeding, weight, urine output, and clinical condition.
  • Administer medicines, IV fluids, oxygen, feeding support, and prescribed neonatal nursing care safely.
  • Assist neonatologists and doctors during rounds, procedures, resuscitation, and emergency neonatal care.
  • Support incubator care, warmer care, phototherapy, oxygen therapy, suctioning, and neonatal monitoring under guidance.
  • Maintain NICU charts, medication records, nursing notes, intake-output records, and handover documentation.
  • Follow strict infection control, hand hygiene, PPE, isolation, and biomedical waste management protocols.
  • Report abnormal vitals, breathing difficulty, feeding intolerance, seizures, temperature instability, or clinical changes immediately.
  • Coordinate with doctors, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, billing, and patient care teams.
  • Support NICU admission, transfer, discharge, and emergency neonatal shifting activities.
  • Maintain baby safety, privacy, comfort, and family-friendly communication.
  • Deliver safe, gentle, ethical, and compassionate neonatal nursing care.
