Job Description
The Cathlab / OT / CSSD Technician will be responsible for assisting in procedures within Cath Lab and Operation Theatre, managing sterilization processes in CSSD, handling medical equipment, and ensuring strict adherence to infection control protocols. The requires technical expertise, precision, and the ability to work efficiently in high-pressure healthcare environments.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist doctors and clinical teams during Cath Lab procedures, surgeries, and interventions.
- Prepare and maintain operation theatre and Cath Lab setup before procedures.
- Ensure proper sterilization and disinfection of surgical instruments through CSSD processes.
- Handle, clean, and maintain surgical instruments and medical equipment.
- Monitor and operate Cath Lab and OT equipment as required.
- Ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Coordinate with CSSD for timely supply and return of sterile instruments.
- Assist in patient preparation, positioning, and transfer for procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, instruments, and procedures.
- Ensure availability of all necessary consumables and equipment before procedures.
- Dispose biomedical waste as per hospital policies and safety guidelines.
- Assist in post-procedure cleaning and preparation for subsequent cases.
- entify and report equipment malfunctions and coordinate for repairs.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, SOPs, and NABH standards.
- Support emergency procedures and critical care interventions when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of Cath Lab, OT, and CSSD areas.
- Participate in audits, quality checks, and infection control activities.
- Follow safety protocols for handling hazardous materials and equipment.
- Ensure patient safety, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development programs.
