The Front Office – Billing Executive will be responsible for handling patient interactions at the front desk, managing registrations, generating accurate bills, and coordinating with departments for smooth patient flow. The requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage billing processes efficiently while maintaining high service standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients, visitors, and attendants in a professional manner.
- Manage patient registration, appointment scheduling, and check-in/check-out processes.
- Generate accurate OPD and IPD bills as per services provided.
- Verify billing details, charges, and patient information before finalization.
- Handle cash, card, and digital payments and ensure proper receipt generation.
- Coordinate with billing and clinical departments for accurate charge capture.
- Address patient queries related to billing, services, and hospital procedures.
- Ensure smooth patient flow and minimize waiting time at the front desk.
- Maintain and update patient records and billing data in the system.
- Assist in discharge billing and final settlement processes.
- Coordinate with TPA/insurance team for billing-related requirements.
- Handle billing corrections, adjustments, and refunds as per policy.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of all transactions.
- Ensure compliance with hospital billing policies and SOPs.
- Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of the front office area.
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and reporting.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient and financial information.
- Assist in handling emergency situations and guiding patients appropriately.
- Provide excellent customer service to enhance patient satisfaction.
- Coordinate with internal departments for smooth operational workflow.
