CSSD Technician

Criticare Asia Hospital is seeking a meticulous and responsible CSSD Technician to manage sterilization processes, ensure infection control standards, and support smooth functioning of surgical and clinical services. The involves handling sterile supplies, operating sterilization equipment, and maintaining strict adherence to hospital protocols.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
• Ensure proper segregation, decontamination, and handling of used instruments.
• Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, ETO, and other sterilizers.
• Pack, label, and store sterile instruments and supplies appropriately.
• Maintain sterility of instruments during storage and distribution.
• Monitor and record sterilization parameters, logs, and cycle reports.
• Conduct routine biological and chemical indicator tests to ensure sterilization effectiveness.
• Maintain inventory of sterile supplies and ensure timely availability for OT and wards.
• Issue and receive instruments and sterile packs as per departmental requirements.
• entify and report any malfunction or breakdown of sterilization equipment.
• Ensure adherence to infection control policies and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the CSSD area.
• Follow biomedical waste management and safety guidelines.
• Coordinate with OT, nursing, and other departments for instrument requirements.
• Ensure proper documentation for traceability of sterilized items.
• Assist in preparation of procedure trays and surgical sets.
• Participate in audits and quality assurance programs.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support training of new staff and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain safety protocols to prevent contamination and occupational hazards.
