Job Description

Intensivist is responsible for managing critically ill patients, ICU care, ventilator support, emergency stabilization, advanced monitoring, and multidisciplinary critical care coordination. The requires MD Medicine, Anaesthesia, Chest, DA, or TDD qualification with 2 to 5 years of experience. Candidates should have strong knowledge of ICU protocols, critical care management, patient safety, and emergency clinical decision-making.


Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage critically ill patients admitted in ICU and critical care units.
  • Conduct ICU rounds and develop patient management plans.
  • Monitor vital signs, ventilator settings, oxygen support, and haemodynamic parameters.
  • Manage sepsis, shock, respiratory failure, trauma, cardiac events, and organ failure cases.
  • Coordinate with surgeons, physicians, anaesthetists, nurses, and support teams.
  • Perform or support emergency interventions and critical care procedures.
  • Review laboratory reports, imaging findings, ABG, ECG, and clinical investigations.
  • Guide ICU nursing staff regarding patient care and monitoring requirements.
  • Maintain ICU documentation, treatment records, and progress notes.
  • Support emergency response, CPR, and resuscitation activities.
  • Ensure infection control, ICU safety, and clinical quality practices.
  • Communicate patient condition and treatment plans with families as per protocol.
  • Participate in clinical audits, case reviews, and quality improvement activities.
  • Support ventilator weaning, sedation planning, and pain control.
  • Deliver timely, ethical, and high-quality critical care services.
