Job Description

The Nurse Manager will be responsible for overseeing nursing staff, managing daily nursing operations, implementing policies and protocols, and ensuring quality patient care across departments. The includes staff supervision, training, performance management, and ensuring compliance with hospital standards, NABH guidelines, and patient safety protocols.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage nursing staff across wards, ICU, OT, and other departments.
  • Oversee day-to-day nursing operations and ensure smooth functioning of clinical services.
  • Develop, implement, and update nursing policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Ensure high standards of patient care, safety, and clinical excellence.
  • Supervise patient care activities and ensure adherence to treatment plans.
  • Monitor nursing performance and conduct regular evaluations and appraisals.
  • Plan and manage staffing schedules, duty rosters, and manpower allocation.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop nursing staff.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control practices and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with doctors and other departments for effective patient management.
  • Maintain accurate nursing documentation and patient care records.
  • Monitor and manage nursing-related KPIs and quality indicators.
  • Ensure readiness for audits, inspections, and NABH accreditation requirements.
  • Address patient and staff concerns and resolve issues promptly.
  • Oversee inventory management of nursing supplies and equipment.
  • Conduct training sessions and continuous education programs for nursing staff.
  • Promote a positive work environment and teamwork among staff.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction programs.
  • Report departmental performance and issues to senior management.
  • Stay updated with advancements in nursing practices and healthcare standards.
