OPD/IPD Billing Executive

S.L Raheja Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient OPD/IPD Billing Executive to manage billing operations, ensure accurate financial transactions, and support seamless patient service delivery. The involves handling inpatient and outpatient billing, coordinating with insurance/TPA partners, tracking payments, and ensuring compliance with hospital billing protocols.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end OPD and IPD billing processes accurately and efficiently.
• Process billing for overseas, corporate, insured, and TPA patients.
• Generate bills, invoices, and receipts as per hospital policies.
• Ensure accurate charge capture for all services, procedures, and consumables.
• Track payments, outstanding dues, and ensure timely collections.
• Coordinate with patients, corporates, and TPAs for billing-related queries.
• Manage bed allocation and billing linkage for admitted patients.
• Follow up on TPA files for approvals, processing, and closure.
• Ensure proper documentation and submission of insurance/TPA claims.
• Monitor and track discounts, cancelled bills, refunds, and free billing cases.
• Ensure accurate posting of packages and billing adjustments.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and provide prompt service recovery to patients.
• Maintain billing records and documentation in compliance with audit requirements.
• Train and support users on Hospital Information System (HIS) billing modules.
• Coordinate with clinical and administrative departments for billing accuracy.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, financial controls, and regulatory guidelines.
• Handle patient queries related to billing in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required billing data.
• Ensure timely reporting and MIS updates related to billing activities.
• Continuously improve billing processes for efficiency and patient satisfaction.
