Executive Billing TPA

The Executive – Billing TPA will be responsible for handling end-to-end billing and insurance-related processes including OPD/IPD billing, pre-authorizations, claim coordination, refund processing, and accounts receivable management. The requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of hospital billing systems, and effective coordination with patients, insurance companies, and internal departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of the reporting manager for billing and TPA operations.
• Update patient files with all services rendered accurately and timely.
• Ensure correct computation of OPD and IPD billing as per hospital guidelines.
• Process billing adjustments, corrections, and third-party invoices efficiently.
• Handle insurance pre-authorization requests and prepare patient estimates.
• Coordinate with TPA companies for approvals, claims, and settlements.
• Verify and process refund cheques for patients as per approval protocols.
• Follow up on declined credit card transactions and resolve payment issues.
• Respond to patient queries related to billing and insurance promptly.
• Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of billing records.
• Manage collection of outstanding and unpaid patient accounts.
• Monitor and maintain Accounts Receivable (AR) reports for the facility.
• Coordinate with patients/relatives regarding payment inquiries and clarifications.
• Ensure compliance with hospital billing policies and financial guidelines.
• Assist in discharge billing and final settlement processes.
• Maintain accuracy in charge entry, coding, and billing systems.
• Support internal and external audits related to billing and TPA processes.
• Coordinate with clinical and administrative departments for billing accuracy.
• Ensure timely closure of billing cycles and claim processing.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all financial transactions.
