Pharmacy Head

The Pharmacy Head will lead hospital pharmacy operations, medicine inventory, dispensing workflow, pharmacy staff coordination, medication safety, stock control, and regulatory documentation at Wockhardt Hospitals, Mumbai. This requires B.Pharm or M.Pharm qualification preferred with 7–12 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise hospital pharmacy operations, dispensing workflow, stock control, and pharmacy staff activities.
• Monitor prescription processing, medicine issue, billing details, stock entries, and patient medication support.
• Ensure proper storage of high-alert, temperature-sensitive, emergency, and controlled medicines.
• Monitor medicine availability, reorder levels, expiry, near-expiry, shortage, and emergency stock.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, purchase, stores, billing, accounts, and management teams.
• Maintain pharmacy records, purchase entries, issue registers, expiry records, stock reports, and audit documents.
• Conduct stock audits, inventory reconciliation, discrepancy checks, and pharmacy MIS preparation.
• Guide pharmacy staff on dispensing accuracy, patient communication, and medication safety.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, hospital SOPs, documentation standards, and safety guidelines.
• Resolve pharmacy-related patient queries, medicine availability issues, and billing concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness, confidentiality, and professional pharmacy communication.
• Ensure safe, accurate, ethical, and efficient pharmacy services.
