Production API Officer - Sr Officer

The Production API Officer - Sr. Officer will be responsible for managing API manufacturing operations, monitoring process parameters, ensuring GMP compliance, and maintaining accurate production documentation in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This requires strong knowledge of API production processes, equipment handling, safety practices, batch records, and coordination with QA, QC, warehouse, and engineering teams to ensure smooth, compliant, and timely production execution.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise API production activities as per approved batch manufacturing records and production plans.
• Monitor process parameters such as temperature, pressure, vacuum, pH, reaction time, yield, and batch stages.
• Ensure manufacturing operations are performed according to GMP, SOPs, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, raw materials, solvents, and utilities for smooth production execution.
• Verify line clearance, equipment cleanliness, material status, and area readiness before batch startup.
• Review batch manufacturing records, equipment logbooks, cleaning records, and production documents.
• Monitor reactor operations, filtration, centrifugation, drying, milling, blending, and material transfer activities.
• Identify and report deviations, process abnormalities, equipment issues, and yield variations to seniors.
• Coordinate with QA, QC, warehouse, maintenance, and engineering teams for production support.
• Ensure proper handling, labeling, storage, and movement of raw materials, intermediates, and finished API.
• Follow safety precautions for handling chemicals, solvents, hazardous materials, and process equipment.
• Support investigation of deviations, incidents, batch failures, and production-related quality concerns.
• Train operators and workers on SOPs, GMP, safety practices, and production documentation.
• Maintain hygiene, housekeeping, discipline, and contamination control standards in production areas.
• Support productivity improvement, process efficiency, downtime reduction, and compliance readiness.
