Senior Executive - Registered Nurse - NICU

Cloudnine Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Executive – Registered Nurse (NICU) to deliver specialized neonatal nursing care, manage critically ill newborns, and ensure the highest standards of clinical excellence, patient safety, and family-centered care within the NICU.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide advanced and individualized nursing care to neonates, including premature and critically ill infants.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in coordination with the healthcare team.
• Ensure culturally sensitive and patient-centric care delivery at all times.
• Take detailed handovers and ensure continuity of care during shift transitions.
• Allocate nurse-patient ratios and manage shift responsibilities in absence of Lead Nurse Specialist.
• Maintain and monitor inventory of NICU instruments, equipment, and consumables.
• Supervise and mentor junior nursing staff in patient care and clinical practices.
• Guide team members in handling specialized NICU equipment such as ventilators, incubators, bililights, syringe pumps, nebulizers, and monitors.
• Monitor, adjust, and ensure proper functioning of all biomedical equipment used in neonatal care.
• Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate timely maintenance and repairs.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for adverse reactions in compliance with hospital policies (LASA, narcotics, verbal orders).
• Assist consultants during examinations, procedures, and emergency interventions.
• Analyze laboratory reports and escalate critical findings for prompt medical action.
• Perform life-saving procedures including neonatal resuscitation when required.
• Supervise nursing activities to ensure smooth functioning of the NICU.
• Ensure proper sterilization and availability of equipment in coordination with CSSD.
• Oversee biomedical waste disposal as per infection control protocols.
• Act as Shift In-charge in absence of Lead Nurse Specialist and coordinate with nursing leadership.
• Provide education, counseling, and emotional support to parents and caregivers.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of patient care as per hospital standards.
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control, safety, and quality protocols.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and accreditation processes.
• Support neonatal transport and emergency preparedness when required.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Stay updated with advancements in neonatal care and nursing practices.
• Uphold professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality in all patient interactions.
