Job Description
The Staff Nurse will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients, including monitoring health conditions, administering medications, assisting in medical procedures, and maintaining accurate documentation. The requires strong clinical skills, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provideect and individualized patient care based on clinical needs.
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient conditions regularly.
- Administer medications, injections, and IV fluids as prescribed.
- Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Ensure proper pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
- Maintain accurate nursing records, charts, and documentation.
- Observe patient progress and report any abnormalities promptly.
- Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Maintain patient hygiene, comfort, and overall well-being.
- Coordinate with doctors, technicians, and other healthcare staff for patient care.
- Handle emergency situations and provide basic life support when required.
- Assist in diagnostic procedures and sample collection.
- Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
- Ensure proper handover during shift changes for continuity of care.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of nursing stations and equipment.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment, medications, and care plans.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, SOPs, and clinical guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
- Participate in training programs and continuous professional development.
- Provide empathetic, patient-centered care to enhance patient satisfaction.
