Electrical Officer Engineer

The Electrical Officer Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting electrical equipment, utility systems, and plant infrastructure to ensure smooth operational performance. The involves preventive and breakdown maintenance, equipment monitoring, electrical safety compliance, utility management, and coordination with cross-functional teams. The candidate will contribute to operational reliability, energy efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
• Ensure uninterrupted power supply and smooth functioning of plant electrical infrastructure.
• Maintain and monitor transformers, panels, DG sets, UPS systems, motors, and utility equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Coordinate installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
• Prepare and maintain electrical maintenance schedules, logs, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, GMP requirements, and SOPs.
• Coordinate with production, QA, QC, utility, and engineering teams for maintenance activities.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability.
• Ensure calibration and preventive maintenance activities are completed as per schedule.
• Maintain inventory of electrical spare parts, consumables, and maintenance tools.
• Support energy conservation and utility optimization initiatives within the facility.
• Supervise contractors and external service providers for electrical maintenance work.
• Participate in root cause analysis and CAPA implementation for electrical failures.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safety practices in electrical and utility areas.
• Support audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities related to electrical systems.
• Prepare maintenance reports, downtime analysis, and MIS documentation for management review.
• Train and guide technical staff on electrical safety and maintenance procedures.
• Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and workplace safety regulations.
• Support automation, process improvement, and engineering enhancement initiatives.
• Stay updated with latest electrical technologies, safety practices, and industry standards.
