Quality Control Officer

The Quality Control Officer will be responsible for conducting analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, packaging materials, and finished products while ensuring compliance with GMP, GLP, and regulatory guidelines. The involves operating laboratory instruments, maintaining documentation, supporting investigations, and ensuring quality standards are consistently achieved. The candidate will contribute to maintaining laboratory efficiency, product quality, and regulatory compliance.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Ensure timely and accurate analysis as per approved specifications and SOPs.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and analytical equipment.
• Prepare and maintain analytical records, test reports, and laboratory documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GLP, GMP, and regulatory quality standards.
• Review analytical results and report out-of-specification (OOS) findings promptly.
• Support investigations related to deviations, OOS, and quality-related issues.
• Maintain inventory of chemicals, reagents, standards, and laboratory consumables.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of laboratory materials.
• Coordinate with QA, production, and regulatory departments for quality-related activities.
• Participate in method validation, method transfer, and stability studies when required.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, safety, and organization at all times.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Support internal audits, external audits, and regulatory inspections.
• Maintain data integrity and confidentiality of laboratory records and results.
• Prepare QC reports, logs, and MIS documentation for management review.
• Assist in implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within QC operations.
• Monitor environmental conditions and ensure compliance within laboratory areas.
• Train and guide junior staff on laboratory practices and SOP compliance.
• Ensure timely completion of testing activities to support production and product release schedules.
• Stay updated with analytical techniques, regulatory updates, and pharmaceutical industry best practices.
