Mechanical Officer Engineer

The Mechanical Officer Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving mechanical systems, production equipment, and utility operations to ensure uninterrupted plant performance. The involves preventive and breakdown maintenance, equipment installation, utility monitoring, vendor coordination, and compliance with safety and engineering standards. The candidate will contribute to operational efficiency, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Ensure smooth functioning of production and utility equipment with minimal downtime.
• Monitor and maintain HVAC systems, compressors, pumps, boilers, chillers, and other utilities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Coordinate installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment and machinery.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance schedules, logs, and engineering documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, safety standards, and engineering SOPs.
• Coordinate with production, QA, QC, and utility teams for maintenance planning and execution.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements for operational efficiency.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement requirements.
• Supervise maintenance contractors and external service providers when required.
• Ensure calibration and preventive maintenance activities are completed on schedule.
• Participate in root cause analysis and CAPA implementation for equipment failures.
• Support audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safety practices within engineering and maintenance areas.
• Assist in energy-saving initiatives and utility optimization projects.
• Prepare maintenance reports, downtime analysis, and MIS documentation for management review.
• Train and guide technical staff on equipment handling and maintenance procedures.
• Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Support continuous improvement and engineering enhancement initiatives.
• Stay updated with latest mechanical technologies, maintenance practices, and industry standards.
