Engineering - HVAC - Sr. Executive/Asst.Manager

The Engineering – HVAC Sr. Executive/Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing HVAC systems across sterile and non-sterile facilities. The ensures controlled environmental conditions, compliance with global regulatory standards, and efficient operation of utilities supporting production. The position requires strong technical expertise in cleanroom HVAC systems, validation, energy management, and team leadership.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Oversee operation and performance of HVAC systems including Air Handling Units (AHUs), chillers, cooling towers, and ducting systems across manufacturing areas.
• Optimize airflow patterns, pressure differentials, and temperature/humidity controls to prevent cross-contamination between processing zones.
• Lead cleanroom validation and re-qualification activities including HEPA filter integrity testing (PAO/DOP), particle count testing, airflow visualization (smoke studies), and recovery testing.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, USFDA, MHRA, WHO, and EU-GMP guidelines for HVAC systems and controlled environments.
• Manage HVAC-related Change Controls, Deviations, OOS investigations, and CAPA implementation within the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Investigate environmental excursions (temperature, humidity, pressure) and implement corrective actions to maintain system stability.
• Supervise Building Management System (BMS) operations for real-time monitoring, alarm handling, and audit trail compliance as per 21 CFR Part 11.
• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for HVAC and utility systems to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
• Implement energy optimization initiatives such as VFD installation, chiller efficiency improvement (kW/TR optimization), and energy audits.
• Monitor and analyze HVAC system performance metrics to enhance operational efficiency and reduce utility costs.
• Coordinate with external vendors, consultants, and contractors for Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), calibration, and validation services.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring proper training, skill development, and adherence to SOPs.
• Collaborate with QA, Production, and Engineering teams to support audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Maintain detailed documentation including validation reports, maintenance logs, deviation records, and compliance reports.
• Support new project execution, including HVAC design review, installation, commissioning, and qualification of systems.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, EHS standards, and risk management practices within HVAC operations.
• Participate in internal and external audits, providing technical justifications and documentation related to HVAC systems.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, compliance, and operational excellence.
