Engineering - Utility - Executive

The Engineering – Utility Executive will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of all utility systems including power distribution, HVAC, DG sets, UPS, and cleanroom utilities. The focuses on preventive and breakdown maintenance, energy optimization, regulatory compliance, and supporting production requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manage operation and maintenance of HT/LT Panels, Transformers, DG Sets, and UPS systems to ensure continuous power supply.
• Monitor and maintain HVAC systems, including AHUs, chillers, cooling towers, and cleanroom utilities, ensuring precise temperature and pressure control.
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules for all electrical and utility equipment including MCCs, VFDs, motors, and steam boilers.
• Conduct daily monitoring of energy consumption, power factor, and fuel usage to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
• Lead troubleshooting and breakdown resolution for all electrical and utility equipment, applying root cause analysis (RCA) for long-term solutions.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs, inspection reports, and compliance documentation according to cGMP and SOP requirements.
• Ensure statutory compliance by coordinating with external agencies for electrical, boiler, and fire safety inspections.
• Support production by ensuring uninterrupted utilities and quick resolution of utility-related issues.
• Implement energy-saving projects such as LED transitions, VFD optimization, and automation improvements.
• Conduct regular audits of utility systems to ensure operational reliability and adherence to safety standards.
• Manage calibration and validation activities for critical utility equipment as per scheduled requirements.
• Supervise technicians and operators for efficient operation and preventive maintenance adherence.
• Assist in planning and execution of facility upgrades, equipment installation, and commissioning of new utility systems.
• Review utility system performance data toentify improvement opportunities for reliability and cost reduction.
• Ensure strict adherence to EHS guidelines and promote a culture of safety among utility personnel.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings with production, maintenance, and QA teams to align utility operations with plant objectives.
• Prepare reports on utility performance, breakdowns, maintenance activities, and energy efficiency projects for management review.
• Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in utility management to continuously enhance plant operations.
