Production OSD - Senior Executive

The Production OSD – Senior Executive will oversee end-to-end manufacturing activities in granulation, compression, and coating areas. The involves executing production plans, ensuring data integrity, managing quality systems, and optimizing processes for better yield and efficiency. The candidate will also lead a team, handle audits, and ensure strict compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute daily production schedules for granulation, compression, and coating operations.
• Ensure timely completion of batches as per the Monthly Production Plan.
• Monitor production activities to achieve targets related to quality, cost, and delivery.
• Perform detailed review of Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and Batch Packing Records (BPR).
• Ensure compliance with ALCOA+ principles for data integrity and documentation practices.
• Lead investigation and closure of deviations, change controls, CAPA, and OOS incidents.
• Coordinate with QA and QC teams for batch release and quality-related activities.
• Analyze batch yields and reconciliation reports toentify improvement areas.
• Implement process improvements to reduce rejection rates and enhance productivity.
• Optimize utilization of manpower, machines, and resources.
• Ensure adherence to cGMP, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain audit readiness and represent the production department during regulatory inspections (USFDA, MHRA, WHO, etc.).
• Provide justifications and documentation support during audits.
• Supervise, train, and mentor operators and junior staff on SOPs, GMP, and safety practices.
• Ensure proper line clearance and prevention of cross-contamination.
• Monitor critical process parameters and ensure consistency in product quality.
• Coordinate with maintenance for equipment upkeep and breakdown resolution.
• Ensure proper handling and usage of raw materials and minimize wastage.
• Maintain accurate production reports and shift handover documentation.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• entify risks and implement preventive measures in production processes.
• Support validation batches, scale-up activities, and new product introductions.
• Ensure compliance with EHS guidelines and safe working practices.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for operational excellence.
