Production - Trainee

The Production – Trainee will assist in day-to-day manufacturing activities including granulation, compression, and coating processes. The involves supporting machine setup, handling materials, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring accurate documentation under supervision. The candidate will learn pharmaceutical production practices, quality checks, and compliance requirements while contributing to efficient plant operations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist in setup and operation of granulation, compression, and coating machines under supervision.
• Support senior operators in executing production batches as per SOPs and BMR instructions.
• Handle weighing, staging, and movement of raw materials and granules between processing areas.
• Ensure properentification, labeling, and storage of materials.
• Perform cleaning of machines, tools, and production areas as per validated cleaning procedures.
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards in compliance with cGMP guidelines.
• Assist in recording data in Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and equipment logbooks.
• Support in-process quality checks such as tablet weight variation and visual inspection.
• Assist in line clearance activities to ensure removal of previous batch materials and labels.
• Follow cGMP practices, SOPs, and regulatory requirements at all times.
• Adhere to safety protocols and use PPE while working on the shop floor.
• Report equipment issues, deviations, or abnormalities to supervisors promptly.
• Coordinate with QA and QC teams for sampling and in-process approvals.
• Support shift handover activities with proper documentation and communication.
• Learn and assist in basic troubleshooting of equipment under guidance.
• Ensure proper handling and minimal wastage of materials.
• Participate in training programs to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
• Maintain discipline and follow company policies and procedures.
• Assist in validation batches and new product trials when required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in production processes.
