QC Chemist

The QC Chemist will be responsible for performing analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products, while maintaining strict compliance with cGMP and GLP standards. This requires strong technical expertise, precision, and thorough knowledge of laboratory operations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, intermediates, finished products, and stability samples as per specifications.
• Conduct analytical validation, verification, and method transfer sample analysis.
• Operate and calibrate laboratory instruments such as HPLC, UV, IR, pH/conductivity meters, dissolution testers, hardness testers, friability testers, DT, BDTD, and analytical balances.
• Ensure adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and cGMP guidelines.
• Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and maintain accurate records as per SOPs.
• Prepare and standardize volumetric solutions, reagents, and indicators.
• Develop and update SOPs, protocols, reports, STPs, and specifications for QC activities.
• Initiate and investigate laboratory incidents, OOS (Out of Specification), and OOT (Out of Trend) results.
• Perform in-process and intermediate sample analysis as per requirements.
• Maintain records of working standards, reference standards, primary standards, and columns as per pharmacopeia requirements.
• Ensure proper sample handling, labeling, storage, and disposal as per SOPs.
• Manage sample destruction activities for validation, stability, raw materials, and finished products.
• Support process validation and stability studies.
• Ensure calibration and maintenance schedules for all laboratory instruments are followed.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, safety, and good housekeeping practices.
• Use appropriate PPE and follow all safety and hygiene protocols.
• Coordinate with QA, production, and other departments for quality-related activities.
• Participate in internal and external audits and ensure audit readiness.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance in all analytical work.
• Stay updated with pharmacopeial requirements and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist in continuous improvement and quality enhancement initiatives.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all laboratory operations.
• Contribute to maintaining high standards of product quality and regulatory compliance.
