Consultant - Head and Neck Onco Surgery

Consultant - Head and Neck Onco Surgery is responsible for diagnosing and surgically managing head and neck cancer patients, planning oncology procedures, coordinating multidisciplinary cancer care, and providing surgical follow-up. The requires MCh or DNB Surgical Oncology preferred qualification with 1 to 3 years of experience. Candidates should have knowledge of head and neck oncology, surgical care, cancer treatment, and patient management.

Role & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients with head and neck cancer conditions.
• Conduct oncology consultations and surgical treatment planning.
• Perform or assist in head and neck cancer surgeries.
• Coordinate with medical oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, pathology, and nursing teams.
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative oncology patients.
• Review biopsy, imaging, pathology, and laboratory reports.
• Participate in tumor board discussions and multidisciplinary planning.
• Counsel patients and families about surgery, risks, recovery, and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate clinical notes, surgical records, and consent documentation.
• Follow infection control, surgical safety, and oncology care protocols.
• Monitor complications and support long-term cancer care follow-up.
• Deliver ethical, precise, and patient-centered surgical oncology care.
