Attending Consultant - Radiation Oncology

Attending Consultant - Radiation Oncology is responsible for providing specialized radiation oncology care, planning radiotherapy treatments, managing cancer patients, and coordinating multidisciplinary oncology services. The requires MD or DNB Radiation Oncology qualification with 0 to 4 years of experience. Candidates should have strong knowledge of radiation oncology, cancer treatment planning, patient care, and clinical oncology protocols.

Role & Responsibilities

• Conduct radiation oncology consultations and patient assessments.
• Plan and supervise radiotherapy treatment for cancer patients.
• Coordinate with medical oncology, surgical oncology, physics, and radiotherapy teams.
• Monitor treatment progress, toxicity, side effects, and response.
• Review imaging, pathology, staging reports, and treatment data.
• Counsel patients regarding radiotherapy, precautions, and follow-up care.
• Participate in tumor board discussions and oncology treatment planning.
• Maintain accurate treatment plans, records, and clinical notes.
• Ensure radiation safety and patient safety standards are followed.
• Guide residents, technologists, and oncology support staff when required.
• Support quality audits, documentation, and oncology care improvement.
• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered cancer care.
