Consultant Intensivist

The Consultant Intensivist will manage critically ill patients, ICU care, ventilator support, emergency stabilization, multidisciplinary coordination, clinical decision-making, and critical care documentation at Sahrudaya Health Care, Hyderabad. This requires IDCCM, CTCM, DM, or DNB qualification with 0–5 years of critical care experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage critically ill patients in ICU, emergency, and high-dependency areas.
• Conduct ICU rounds and plan treatment for sepsis, respiratory failure, shock, trauma, and multi-organ dysfunction.
• Monitor vitals, ventilator settings, ABG, lab reports, fluids, vasopressors, and organ support.
• Coordinate with consultants, nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and emergency teams.
• Support airway management, invasive monitoring, central line care, and critical procedures where applicable.
• Respond to code blue, ICU emergencies, and rapid response calls.
• Counsel patients relatives regarding condition, prognosis, treatment, and ICU care plan.
• Maintain ICU notes, progress records, procedure notes, prescriptions, and discharge summaries.
• Follow infection control, antibiotic stewardship, patient safety, and ICU protocols.
• Guide duty doctors, residents, and ICU staff in critical care practices.
• Participate in audits, mortality reviews, clinical discussions, and quality improvement activities.
• Deliver safe, timely, and evidence-based intensive care services.
