Deputy Manager

Apollo Hospitals is seeking a retail and merchandising professional to oversee category planning, buying strategies, and inventory management across both online and offline platforms. The involves driving revenue growth, optimizing product assortment, and ensuring seamless coordination with cross-functional teams. The candidate will also focus on vendor management, demand forecasting, and leveraging market insights to enhance business performance and customer experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute category strategies including assortment planning, pricing, promotions, and product placement to drive sales and profitability
• Manage budgets, revenue forecasts, and key performance metrics such as margins, stock turns, and sell-through rates
• Lead buying and merchandising activities across channels while negotiating commercial terms, margins, and promotional agreements with vendors
• Manage vendor relationships, onboarding, contracts, and conduct regular performance reviews of brands and categories
• Collaborate with demand planning teams to forecast requirements and maintain optimal inventory levels across locations
• Ensure smooth product lifecycle management from launch to replenishment, markdowns, and exit planning
• Work closely with marketing, supply chain, warehouse, and store operations teams to ensure effective execution and improved customer experience
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights toentify growth opportunities and introduce new products or categories
• Evaluate promotional strategies and campaign performance to optimize return on investment
