Staff Nurse

The Staff Nurse will support patient care across assigned departments by following doctor orders, monitoring patient progress, and maintaining accurate nursing documentation. The requires responsibility, alertness, patient-friendly communication, and adherence to hospital nursing protocols.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe nursing care to patients in assigned wards, ICU, emergency, OT, or OPD.
• Monitor vital signs, oxygen level, patient condition, pain, and treatment response.
• Administer medicines, injections, IV fluids, oxygen, and nursing procedures safely.
• Assist doctors during rounds, procedures, dressing, and emergency situations.
• Maintain medication charts, nursing notes, handover records, and patient care documentation.
• Follow infection control, hand hygiene, PPE, and biomedical waste protocols.
• Coordinate with doctors, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, billing, and patient care teams.
• Report abnormal vitals, patient deterioration, or medication-related issues promptly.
• Support admission, transfer, discharge, and patient shifting activities.
• Maintain patient dignity, comfort, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Educate patients and relatives on basic care instructions under guidance.
• Deliver respectful, ethical, and compassionate nursing care.
