Job Description
Strategic Procurement Head responsible for managing sourcing, purchasing, vendor relationships, and supply chain operations to support organizational objectives. Skilled in procurement planning, contract negotiation, cost optimization, and inventory management. Experienced in leading procurement teams, ensuring timely material availability, and maintaining compliance with purchasing policies and quality standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals.
- Manage sourcing, purchasing, and vendor selection activities.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms with suppliers.
- Monitor procurement budgets and optimize purchasing costs.
- Ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Evaluate vendor performance and maintain supplier relationships.
- Coordinate with departments to understand procurement requirements.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and quality standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and support stock planning activities.
- Prepare procurement reports, MIS, and vendor performance analysis.
- Lead procurement team operations and performance management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
- Maintain procurement documentation and contract records.
- Support audits and compliance reviews related to procurement.
- Ensure ethical sourcing and transparent procurement practices.
