Job Description

Staff Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and effective treatment support within the department. The involves conducting patient assessments, monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, assisting physicians during examinations and procedures, and maintaining accurate medical documentation. The candidate will play a vital in providing compassionate nursing care, responding to patient needs efficiently, and supporting smooth clinical operations.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and report significant findings to physicians promptly.
  • Provide quality nursing care including medication administration, patient monitoring, and comfort measures.
  • Assist physicians during patient examinations, procedures, and treatments when required.
  • Monitor patient vitals, condition changes, and treatment responses regularly.
  • Ensure patient safety by following hospital protocols, infection control practices, and nursing standards.
  • Administer prescribed medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments accurately.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient medical records, treatment documentation, and nursing notes.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, side effects, and post-treatment care.
  • Handle emergency situations and provide immediate nursing intervention when necessary.
  • Ensure proper handling and maintenance of medical equipment and nursing supplies.
  • Coordinate with doctors, healthcare staff, and other departments for effective patient care.
  • Support admission, discharge, and transfer procedures for patients.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and professional ethical standards at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH guidelines, and nursing protocols.
  • Assist in billing support, charge capture, and documentation of patient services when required.
  • Monitor inventory of nursing supplies and report shortages promptly.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and infection prevention standards within the department.
  • Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and their families.
  • Perform additional nursing and administrative duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
