Assistant Professor - Medical Laboratory Technology

The Assistant Professor - Medical Laboratory Technology will teach laboratory science, pathology, biochemistry, microbiology, hematology, sample processing, quality control, and lab safety at Velammal Group Institutions, Madurai. This requires M.Sc / B.Sc / Ph.D Medical Laboratory Technology qualification with 0–5 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct MLT theory classes, practical sessions, tutorials, and lab demonstrations.
• Teach sample collection, hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, clinical pathology, and lab safety.
• Guide students in laboratory procedures, equipment handling, quality control, and documentation.
• Prepare lesson plans, practical schedules, teaching material, and academic records.
• Supervise students during laboratory practice, clinical postings, and skill sessions.
• Teach biosafety, infection control, PPE, biomedical waste, and laboratory ethics.
• Support internal exams, viva, practical evaluation, and student performance tracking.
• Coordinate with laboratory departments, academic faculty, and institutional administration.
• Maintain attendance, practical logs, academic files, and departmental reports.
• Promote accurate, safe, and disciplined medical laboratory technology education.
