Assistant Professor - Nursing

The Assistant Professor - Nursing will be responsible for nursing education, classroom teaching, clinical supervision, practical demonstrations, student mentoring, academic evaluation, and nursing documentation at Velammal Group Institutions, Madurai. This requires M.Sc Nursing qualification with 3–5 years of academic or clinical nursing experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing theory classes, tutorials, demonstrations, and practical teaching sessions.
• Guide nursing students in clinical procedures, patient care, documentation, and communication skills.
• Supervise students during ward postings, OPD, ICU, OT, and clinical training activities.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching material, assignments, and student evaluation records.
• Conduct skill lab sessions, bedside teaching, case presentations, and viva preparation.
• Maintain attendance, academic records, practical logs, and student performance reports.
• Coordinate with nursing administration, clinical departments, and academic teams.
• Support examinations, internal assessments, and practical evaluations.
• Teach infection control, medication safety, patient safety, and nursing ethics.
• Promote disciplined, patient-centered, and professional nursing education.
