Associate Professo-Medical Laboratory Technology

The Associate Professor - Medical Laboratory Technology will lead MLT teaching, laboratory practical training, student mentoring, academic planning, evaluation, quality improvement, and departmental coordination at Velammal Group Institutions, Madurai. This requires M.Sc / B.Sc / Ph.D Medical Laboratory Technology qualification with 1–6 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead academic teaching in medical laboratory technology subjects.
• Guide students in hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, clinical pathology, and laboratory workflow.
• Supervise laboratory practicals, clinical postings, sample processing training, and skill development.
• Prepare academic schedules, practical modules, teaching files, and assessment plans.
• Mentor faculty members and students for academic and laboratory skill improvement.
• Monitor attendance, lab records, internal assessments, and student learning outcomes.
• Coordinate with hospital laboratories and academic teams for practical exposure.
• Support curriculum development, academic audits, seminars, and workshops.
• Maintain departmental documentation and institutional compliance.
• Ensure quality-focused, safe, and professional laboratory technology education.
