Clinical Instructor - Nursing

The Clinical Instructor - Nursing will supervise nursing students during clinical postings, practical training, bedside care learning, skill development, documentation, and patient care practice at Velammal Group Institutions, Madurai. This requires B.Sc Nursing qualification with 1–3 years of nursing or clinical teaching experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing students during ward, ICU, OT, OPD, emergency, and clinical postings.
• Demonstrate nursing procedures, patient care techniques, and clinical documentation practices.
• Guide students in vitals monitoring, medication safety, infection control, and bedside care.
• Support practical learning, case presentations, skill lab sessions, and student evaluation.
• Maintain student attendance, clinical posting records, practical logs, and performance notes.
• Coordinate with nursing faculty, ward nurses, doctors, and clinical departments.
• Ensure students follow patient safety, confidentiality, PPE, and hospital protocols.
• Provide feedback to students for clinical skill improvement.
• Assist in internal assessments, practical exams, and academic activities.
• Promote disciplined, compassionate, and patient-centered clinical nursing training.
