Job Description
Criticare Asia Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ICU Intensivist to provide advanced critical care management, ensure optimal patient outcomes, and lead multidisciplinary ICU teams. The involves managing critically ill patients, making timely clinical decisions, and ensuring adherence to evidence-based protocols and hospital standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive critical care management to ICU patients.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill patients with complex medical conditions.
- Lead ICU rounds and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for patient care planning.
- Monitor patient vitals, clinical parameters, and respond promptly to any deterioration.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical needs.
- Perform and supervise critical procedures such as intubation, central line insertion, arterial line placement, and ventilator management.
- Manage ventilators and advanced life support systems effectively.
- Ensure adherence to ICU protocols, clinical guidelines, and infection control practices.
- Coordinate with consultants, nursing staff, and allied departments for seamless patient care.
- Provide timely updates and counseling to patients’ families regarding clinical status and prognosis.
- Handle medical emergencies and ensure immediate life-saving interventions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care and clinical decisions.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and morbidity/mortality reviews.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and legal requirements.
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior doctors and ICU staff.
- Ensure optimal utilization of ICU resources, equipment, and medications.
- Participate in code blue and emergency response teams within the hospital.
- Support organ donation and transplant protocols when applicable.
- Stay updated with advancements in critical care medicine and best practices.
- Maintain high standards of ethics, professionalism, and patient confidentiality.
